Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Medinet Habu, Colossi, plus the optional Seti I or Tut tomb. The morning matters: the cruise-ship buses unload at 9 AM. This tool picks the order that beats them and gives total cost in EGP and USD.
Run the tool to see the order.
The cruise-bus wave hits the Valley of the Kings (VOK) at 9 AM ?30?0 people per bus, 5+ buses, and a ticket booth that slows under pressure. Most visitors arrive at 9:30 and queue for 45 minutes to enter.
The tool returns a numbered order with rationale, plus total cost in EGP and USD. Reference rate ~50 EGP/USD.
VOK ticket math. Standard 3-tomb VOK entry is ~240 EGP. Tut extra is 240 EGP. Seti I is 1,000 EGP. You can only pick three "included" tombs; Tut or Seti count as the extra ticket that replaces one of those three ?clarify at the gate.
The "photo ticket". Camera permits (any DSLR / mirrorless) are ~150 EGP extra at VOK. Phones are fine without a ticket.
Cruise-bus wave timing. First buses from the East Bank cross 7:30, arrive VOK 8:00. By 9:30 the parking lot is full. Arriving before 7 AM means the only other visitors are licensed guides doing the rounds.
Yes if you love Egyptian art ?it's the most complete and best-preserved tomb in the Valley. No if you're on a budget ?Ramesses V/VI or Merenptah give 80% of the wow at the standard ticket price.
Cross the bridge by 7 AM. First stop: VOK (opens 6 AM in winter, 7 AM in summer). Most cruise guests board their tour bus at 7:30 ?you have 60+ minutes of empty tombs.
Habu first ?it's sun-side until midday and the carvings are best in low light. Hatshepsut is partly shaded by its own architecture, more forgiving in afternoon heat.
Yes. Two 18m statues of Amenhotep III, free entry, on the road between the bridge and VOK. 20?0 min sunrise visit is the right pace.

What it is. A morning order-planner for the West Bank sites. Inputs are arrival time, extra-tomb interest, must-have priority, and heat tolerance. Output is a numbered order with EGP and USD cost.
Who it's for. Independent travellers doing Luxor West Bank in a half-day. Useful for visitors trying to decide whether Seti I is worth the premium.
What it isn't. Not a substitute for checking that day-of tomb closures at the VOK ticket booth. Not a substitute for confirming the cruise-ship schedule with your hotel.
Limitations. Cruise-bus timings shift; treat the wave estimate as directional. Photo permits vary by tomb.
